Why should I study in china?

What is it like for a foreigner to work or study in China?
I've done both:
Study:
It's been a truly unique experience, I've met people from places I've never thought I would know anyone from, or even knew existed, like: Korea, Azerbaijan, Japan, Russia, Mali, the list goes on and on.. Had roommates from Grenada, Djibuouti, Senegal, France and Mongolia, pretty diverse if you ask me.
Then of course you can presence Chinese culture and ridiculously fast development by yourself, oh and learn Chinese which is pretty useful and a beautiful language, if you put in the required effort/interest.
Now the bad, well there is the pollution, traffic, lots of people, yes we all know.. But, if there is something I truly, truly dislike and feel dissapointed about is China's educational system, because:
It only encourages memorizing stuff from books.
Feels very fake (Teachers didn't even know what classes I had to take, handling empty diploma cases at ceremonies, master students who take classes in English have almost no classes which are very basic, etc.)
And well, I know this isn't China's fault, but studying Chinese for only one year and taking your whole major in Chinese is no easy task, I had to study most stuff by myself, not through classes, which kind of makes me feel like I didn't learn my major properly.
Work:
Work huh, well I just had to work 6 days straight this week because we had a 3 days rest because of New Year's Eve, and you have to "pay back" holiday vacations in China, so yeah it's been a loong week.
It's cool to live in a nice city like Shanghai and have some money to spend, also China has a lot to offer travel wise, life is pretty good mostly.
At work I think my Chinese workmates are actually very nice and supportive, also some of them are very, very hard working.
To live here you just have to get used to it, get ready for people, people, people, people cutting lines, and all that, but also get ready for amazing, huuuge cities, very different people and culture, and lots of experiences you will never forget.
I've met a lot of foreigners who live here and don't like it at all or have issues with Chinese, but look, it's the most populated country in the world, you just can't swim against the current.
And that's that! Overall despite what the media says, China is a nice place to live in.
I know, I'm not Chinese but.. You know what they say: Beijing welcomes you!
